discuss | The Guardian's Seven Digital Deadly Sins
Every now and again, someone creates something that seems to burst out of the package it was designed for. That's the case, I think, with The Guardian's Seven Digital Deadly Sins.
If you're leading older adolescents, college students or adults—which is to say, just about anyone post middle school / junior high—you can project the live site on a screen and pretty much take your group on a choose-your-own-adventure journey through stories, instant polls and confessionals on envy, pride, lust, gluttony, wrath, sloth and greed.
To reiterate, some of the material would be rated PG, mostly for language (and in at least one case because it's madly satirical in a manner almost sure to mess with the minds of a room full of concrete thinkers).
If you can A) get past the sometimes rude language, and B) be prepared to lead a redeeming conversation about the seven deadlies, this webspace can help you create an unusual—and unusually useful—learning space.
