In a sense, they use structured arguements and ordered enforcement and influence to help the dis-enfranchised. Basically, they proselytize a message of justice for all as well as grace and mercy to those who can't help themselves, and all in Jesus's name? What a bunch a religious nuts!! Yes, and this is the very religion God accepts as pure and faultless. See James 1: 27. Rather than feel rather sheepish, and I do mean "sheepish", about being a mere baptist, presbyterian, or methodist, let's not be sheep, but commit to making IJM and ministries like it that good ol' time religion of future generations. Can I get an amem? Hey, Jim, thanks for the reminder.Timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10851890807456937503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972659.post-1141267239783989352006-03-01T18:40:00.000-08:002006-03-01T18:40:00.000-08:00Thank you Jim. The problem is soooo big.

It is the young ones that seem to keep our hopes hanging in there lately. Just when it seemed overwhelming, a 16 year old girl from our church said, "I went to Romania last year. Who's coming with me this year?" SHE is leading the team of 5. NOT the church's mission team ... and not even me. SHE IS.

From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. Psalm 8:2

I pray that more churches will empower and commission these young and mighty warriors of compassion.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03151658420244752291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972659.post-1140451479182433682006-02-20T08:04:00.000-08:002006-02-20T08:04:00.000-08:00thanks Neil. i'm afraid i'm one of those people wh...thanks Neil.

i'm afraid i'm one of those people who is so afaid or self-absorbed or...something...that, if it weren't for the love of God i might never lift a finger to help poor and broken and oppressed people. i wish i were a better human being.Jim Hancockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15459723439431806283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6972659.post-1140345312907773152006-02-19T02:35:00.000-08:002006-02-19T02:35:00.000-08:00Great work, Jim! I'm not a Christian myself, but if it takes a Christian organisation to raise awareness like this - and achieve results - then I'm in favour.

It is sad that the economic position of many countries, which leads directly to such cases of exploitation, is worsened by various US-influenced policies via such organisations as the IMF, and this without American citizens' being aware of it.Neilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09078316832863354114noreply@blogger.com
