Ironic Authenticity

At one executive leadership seminar I attended recently, the trainer explained that authenticity was the main attribute delegates needed to radiate, including “different types of authenticity for different audiences”. Jonathan Guthrie in Financial Times.

Was the intention to wear a mask according to your audience or to know what level of authenticity you can share with various audiences?

I'd suspect we have a deeper level of authenticty when we get to hang out than I do with some of my other friends. It's not that I'm not authentic with them but we have shared experience and when we talk in person we are in a 100% safe environment.

"If you can fake authenticity in the new year, you will have it made."
