pants on fire

i'm listening to the president's press conference going on as I write.

I wish I had the opportunity to say to his face, "Mr Bush, I believe you are a liar. Prove me wrong."

I've read the Bible; I know what it says about liars . . .

I didn't realize that "liar, liar pants of fire" was from the bible. That is sweet.

i always thought liars go to church to repent... eventually?

church might be a fine place to start repenting -- where repentance carries the old school meaning of changing directions -- by which i mean that sooner or later the penitent retraces his steps, passing right by the place he started, making his way higher up and farther into the mountains where . . .

well, you have an idea about what happens in those mountains . . .
